SAVE THE SATE! NEXT STATION 2015 Conference Marrakech (Morocco) 21 - 22 October 2015: http://nextstation2015.com

Russian Railways (RZD) will be organising the fourth Next Station international conference in cooperation with the International Union of Railways (UIC). The first three events took place in Rome (2005), Paris (2007) and Brussels (2011) and met with worldwide success.

For the first time, the international conference will be held directly at a railway station. Kazansky Station is a center of one of the largest transportation hubs in Moscow; it is located in the center of the city and connected to two other stations and two metro lines.

Next Station is a worldwide meeting place for decision makers from governments, international organizations and the transport world, railway undertakings, station managers, local authorities, service providers, manufacturers, architects, urban developers, research agencies, etc.

In a word, anyone who has anything at all to do with stations to review all strategic issues related to the development and operation of railway stations.
It provides the perfect opportunity to exchange new development trends within the sphere of railway stations and obtain knowledge about contemporary themes such as stations of the future, opening up stations to new operators, new developments in the realm of service and intermodality, urban-planning development in station areas and economic models for stations and sustainability.

We look forward to meeting you on October, 16, 17 and 18, in Moscow.

This high-profile global railway event will be hosted by JSC Russian Railways (RZD) and jointly organised with the International Union of Railways (UIC), the worldwide railway organisation chaired since early 2013 by Vladimir Yakunin, President of RZD.

Since 2005, several thousand decision-makers from higher railway management and the transport world, economy and finance, banks, business and trade, architecture and urban planning, have actively participated in the debates and exchanges organised as part of the “Next Station” conference.

“Next Station 2013” will be dedicated to the theme “Next Station: linking railways and society”. This international event will provide a unique opportunity for high-level speakers and panellists to address all strategic issues related to the creation, development and operation of railway stations, such as project development and financing, station management, station and urban planning, the sustainable, eco-friendly railway station, facilities and design, commercial use of station space and services, multimodality and accessibility.

Following its three previous editions, “Next Station” has become a unique reference at worldwide level for benchmark and exchange on best practice related to railway station development and management across the world. Developing a new generation of railway stations with the objective to cope with all challenges of mobility and society is also a strategic issue in the Russian Federation, the host country of “Next Station 2013”.
